How to Make Malaysian Fried Fish


Malaysian Fried Fish is a very spicy fish fried in spices will Red Chill powder.

Why Eat Fish?

Fish is eaten world-wide. In many countries of the world fish is the people's main source of getting proteins and fulfilling their body needs. Fish can be preserved by marinating it with salt and then drying it out. Fish can be cooked in many different ways, for people who want to consume less fats, fish can be baked or grilled or for people who want a very spicy taste it can be deep fried. It is said that the reason of the long living of the Japanese people is that their meals consist of fish, Fish is a wide source of obtaining Vitamin A,B,C Phosphorus and Magnesium.
Fish is also recommended to Heart patients as it contains Omega 3, which is very good for Heart.

INGREDIENTS:

  1. Fish Fillet                                                   1/2 KG
  2. Onion                                                        1
  3. Fresh Red Chili  (Finely Cut)                      1   
  4. Garlic  (Chopped)                                     3 Cloves
  5. Ginger  (Finely Cut)                                   1 Medium Piece
  6. Brown Sugar                                             1 Tea-Spoon
  7. Lemon Juice                                              1 Table-Spoon
  8. Black Pepper Powder                               1/4 Tea-Spoon
  9. Red Chili Powder                                      1/2 Tea-Spoon
  10. Refined Flour                                             2 Table-Spoon
  11. Soya Sauce                                                2 Table-Spoon
  12. Salt                                                            To Taste
  13. Water                                                        1/2 Cup
  14. Oil                                                             1/4 Cup
METHOD:

  • Marinate the Fish fillet with salt and black pepper, leave it aside for a few minutes.
  • Heat 4 Table-Spoon oil in a frying-pan, now coat the marinated fish with flour and fry till they turn golden and remove in a serving dish.
  • Heat the remaining oil in the same frying pan.
  • Add ginger, garlic, onions and red chilies, fry till the onions turn slightly golden and become soft.
  • Add fresh red chili, brown sugar, soya sauce, salt, lemon juice, black pepper and water; cook on high flame till the sauce thickens.
  • Pour over fish and serve hot.
